Meet Dr. Thirtha
Dentistry isn’t just a profession for me—it’s a passion for transforming smiles and changing lives, one tooth at a time. With a background in both science and art, dentistry offers the perfect blend of my interests.
After graduating with honors in clinical dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania, I was eager to make a positive impact on my patients’ oral health and well-being. I initially worked in Pennsylvania for a year before deciding to return to Dallas, a city I love. Settling in Irving with my family, I gained experience in various private practices across Arlington, Richardson, and Plano.
Driven by a desire to give back to my community, I established my own practice in Irving. We actively support the local high school dental assisting program by providing internship opportunities to students. Additionally, we engage in volunteer initiatives such as “keep Irving beautiful”, Feed My Starving Children, Texas Mission of Mercy, and others.
Recognizing that dental visits can provoke anxiety, I prioritize listening to my patients and ensuring their comfort. Embracing the adage “prevention is better than cure,” I dedicate time to educating patients about their dental care and involving them in treatment decisions.
I believe in continuous learning and enhancing my skills. Each year, I attend advanced courses through Spear Education to stay updated on the latest developments in dentistry for improved patient care. I’m also an active member of professional associations such as the American Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, and American Association of Clear Aligners, attending their continuing education programs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending weekends with my family, cheering on my sons’ soccer and lacrosse teams, or playing with our dog, Waldo, at the dog park.
At Truist Dental, we pride ourselves on gentle care and ethical practice. We begin each day with a prayer, seeking guidance to provide excellent patient care to the best of our abilities. I invite you to experience the difference we can make firsthand.
