The Invisalign® Treatment Process
To begin your Invisalign® treatment here in Irving, Dr. Thirtha will use 3D scanning instead of outdated traditional impressions or trays to create a treatment plan for you. It’s very important to get the aligners correctly made and fitted for your mouth, and 3D scanning is by far the most accurate way to achieve this.
After we establish the plan that you will follow, we create custom clear aligners made of a smooth BPH-free plastic that perfectly fit your mouth. These aligners are designed so that you can avoid gum and cheek irritation often associated with wire braces.
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks which can be removed to eat, drink, floss, and brush. With every change of your Invisalign® aligners, your teeth will move ever so slightly. This process is repeated for anywhere between 9 to 15 months and utilizing from 18 to 30 aligners, depending on your needs.
