We’ll Remove Your Wisdom Teeth In The Comfort of Our Irving, TX Dental Office
Third molars, or “wisdom” teeth, will typically erupt in late teens or early twenties. Often there is not enough room in the mouth for these ‘extra’ teeth, or they may be impacted below the gum line, requiring extraction.
The position of third molars, at the very back of the mouth in the upper and lower jaw, makes them difficult to keep clean with regular brushing and flossing. They may also form in an awkward, misaligned position that can result in crowding or damage to adjacent teeth.
Individualized Treatment Planning
Dr. Thirtha will take the time to review each patient’s case, determining an individual course of action specific to your needs. If you need your wisdom teeth taken out, it’s easier to remove them immediately. If you wait, the bone around your wisdom teeth could become more dense and your roots may be fully developed, causing removal to be more difficult. Most patients that need their wisdom teeth removed do so in their late teens or early twenties.
After The Extraction
Pain medication and antibiotics may be prescribed after the procedure, along with post-operative care instructions, to ensure minimal discomfort and proper healing.
